Responsible for application support, project management, and documentation for recording channel development. Typical duties: Provides application support and read channel expertise to design centers for integrating recording channels onto drives. Works with eval boards, FPGAs, and drives to conduct experimental tests and evaluate results. Works with internal and external channel suppliers to determine architecture design and manage project schedules. Invents and implements new features for next generation competitiveness. Proactively functions both individually as a technical contributor and as a member of and/or leader of cross-functional teams.

BS/MS/PhD required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Proven ability to work as a member of a team absolutely required. Must be able to use lab equipment to evaluate hardware and analyze results. Job typically requires 15 years of experience.
