The Strategic Client Executive has overall responsibility for managing executive client relationships with Ingenix consulting clients, including the coordination and facilitation of other Ingenix business units in their efforts to sell Ingenix products and services. The SCE is responsible for designated clients and for achieving goals in the areas of client satisfaction, retention and growth. The SCE must be highly analytical and adept at complex solution sales. He/she must be comfortable and experienced in crafting differentiated solutions that solve health care business problems by integrating Ingenix assets as well as those provided by potential partners. Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to one or more clients.
Acts as the outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned employer clientss, characterized by heavy direct client contact with large or complex "strategic" accounts. Builds relationships with employer/group clients and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery. Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. Leads efforts around renewals and up-selling for assigned clients.
* Support new business sales as part of pursuit teams and in sales meetings to represent Ingenix and the relationship management function.
* Develop effective revenue plans to achieve annual goals for growth of in-force book of business.
* Accurately assess retention risk and renewal strength well in advance of contract termination dates. Develop strategic and tactical plans - including win strategy, pricing and offering to secure renewals.
* Create and keep current client-specific relationship management plans, including the involvement of other Ingenix associates and leadership. Use this plan as a multi-year, cross-Ingenix roadmap for strengthening and expanding client relationships..
* Establish, develop and maintain senior management and executive-level contact with health care executives at assigned and targeted firms. Build rapport through consultative selling and creative relationship building.
* Generate enhancement pipeline and close business for Ingenix Consulting. Activities include defining needs and opportunities, entering opportunities in Onyx, scheduling and hosting client meetings, coordinating attendance of appropriate Ingenix experts & consultants, negotiating contract scope and price, overseeing billing and collection, logging activity in sales tracking tools and communicating regularly on growth plans and current opportunity pipeline.
* Meet or exceed established goals for consulting revenue and sales to new and existing clients. Accurately forecast expected revenue, close probability and close dates.
* Understand and stay up-to-date on client's business situation, business strategy and financial goals and how Ingenix solutions can solve client business issues. Participate in client's strategic planning/decision making. Create the connections between Ingenix's services and the client's business.
* Combine an in-depth knowledge of Ingenix business, products and services with a clear understanding of industry trends to develop differentiated solutions for the client and maximize and grow client relationships.
* Ensure high client satisfaction from the point of the sale through implementation and ongoing services and manage clients' expectations, understanding team roles, scope changes, etc. Oversee new business implementation processes.
* Communicate frequently with the client and meet face-to-face on a regular basis. Cultivate multiple touch points within the client organization and work to advance relationship to engage more c-suite level executives.
* Work collaboratively with other Ingenix business units and external vendors to provide clients with a superior experience and ensure commitments made to the client are handled appropriately (i.e. within time and budget). Coordinate and communicate sales activity with Market and Practice leaders, Ingenix sales team, project managers, consultants and others as appropriate.
* Maintain strong awareness of client expectations and ensure all quality standards are met. Provide direction for account teams and matrix staff by establishing and articulating clear account goals. Conduct Client Quality Code interviews with clients for significant projects. Ensure client satisfaction is met or exceeded in both the quality of Ingenix Consulting work product and the timeliness of delivery.
* Act as a role model in effective client and associate partnering, including communication, coordination of multiple practice projects, resolving conflicts, reviewing work product as required and coaching others.

Qualifications
Minimum BS/BA degree with a minimum of 8+ years of successful client management/consulting and business development experience. Health care industry experience is strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated experience establishing and growing large, complex clients dealing with a broad range of services at the senior level of the organization.
* Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations and growth goals.
* Superior client relationship/account management skills. Viewed as a trusted advisor.
* Ability to think strategically and to understand client's underlying business needs and align consulting, product or integrated solutions.
* Strong problem solving skills with the demonstrated ability to identify research and make decisions based on the day-to-day and complex customer/prospect problems.
* Outstanding presentation skills. Proven success in preparing and delivering presentations that convey information critical to the audience and adjusting to meet changing audience needs.
* Strong teamwork orientation; understands that client's best interests are served through smooth, seamless service delivery.
* Willing to travel within the United States about 50 - 75% of time.
* Demonstrated proficiency in coaching, developing and mentoring others.
* Knowledge of Ingenix Consulting areas of expertise, consulting services and integrated solutions, and how they work together to benefit clients at a strategic level. Additional knowledge of other Ingenix markets and UHG Enterprise Services Group offerings overtime.
