Job Description

Individual will be responsible for developing course content or using previously designed material to teach courses on a variety of topics to include supervisory courses mandated by AFI 36-401 (Civilian Training) and courses on the National Security Personnel System mandated by law. Courses will be presented In an interactive television broadcast environment to as many as nine locations concurrently. May be expected to arrange and moderate panel discussions. Is expected to have a good working knowledge of the new National Security Personnel System, Title V and Title X Civilian Personnel Laws and Deprtment of Defense and Air Force regulations/issuances or able to research information and prepare appropriate training materials. Will keep training materials up-to-date by actively researching new issuances and modifying subject areas based on MAJCOM direction and course feedback. Will utilize the Air Force Instructional Systems Development process to plan, develop and revise course curriculum. Will design and sequence instruction utilizing the best resource option available. Will compile student feedback and generate reports to study training outcomes and trends. Will operate under and make suggestions for continuous improvement within mandated guidelines to include copyright laws. Must be able to incorporate various teaching techniques and learning strategies to ensure learning takes place. Must be familiar with and able to use a variety of media to present course material. Must be able to take direction from the audio-visual production manager to ensure proper timing and execution of broadcast training.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct client-specific content courses to DOD staff.
2. Serve as substitute trainer as necessary and work as part of a team.
3. Track and report back to project management on training administrative matters such as attendance, evaluations, and needed improvements to training material.

Required Skills

1. Must be experienced in providing training content within an interactive television broadcast environment.
2. Knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques for delivery of training and Instruction
3. Knowledge of instructional materials development
4. Knowledge of Civilian Personnel Laws and Regulations
5. Working knowledge of the National Security Personnel System (NSPS) and the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS), Title V and Title X Civilian Personnel Laws and DoD and AF regulations/issuances or able to research information and prepare appropriate training materials
6. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
7. Ability to work independently to resolve problems

Required Experience

-Experience delivering interactive televised training
-Bachelor’s degree required in Instructional Systems Design, Education, Training/Curriculum Development or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
-Five to seven years of professional experience as and instructional designer.

Must have active Secret clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. EEO M/F/D/V
