Serco has an immediate need for a Senior Field Engineer or Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Systems Team Lead. Technical member of a two man team to evaluate current disparate systems and networks and able to make recommendations to improve functionality, safety, RF coverage, implementation, costs of procurement, maintenance and sustainment of radio system infrastructure. Experience managing system acquisitions, systems design promoting maximum RF coverage, site installation, testing and documentation of LMR systems. Proven track record of successful and innovative recommendations in regard to overall cost, location of equipment and sites in support of a centrally managed system architecture. Past experience should support familiarity of integration of LMR technologies and other technologies such as Satellite, GPS and Data networks. Familiar with RF Modeling tools and able to make innovative recommendations to provide maximum support while minimizing cost. Self starter and able to operate with minimal supervision or support. Familiar with supporting a multi-agency environment such as DOD, Federal, State, local Law Enforcement, First Responders and Public Safety. Demonstrated ability to provide highly accurate documentation in support of the contract such as: Program Support Agreements, Proposals, Technical Solutions, Installation Plans, As-Builts, Trip Reports, etc. Familiar with all aspects of acquisitions, development and installation efforts of Greenfield site construction.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two to five years experience in related LMR field required. Experience with legacy and current RF technologies across a wide frequency spectrum required.
