| Duties: |
Duties: Provide high-quality technical and analytical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Directorate located in the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) at Schriever AFB. This position directly supports MDA M&S verification and validation (V&V) efforts. The candidate hired for this position will perform root cause analysis for post flight reconstruction (PFR) activities. The candidate will develop PFR Analysis Plans; review data management plans, test case descriptions, test observations and test incident reports; analyze pre-mission data, flight test data, missile trajectory data and missile signature data; and develop PFR Analysis Reports. The candidate will work closely with government, FFRDC, and contractor team members at the MDIOC and other MDA locations, particularly in Washington DC and Huntsville AL. |
| Qualifications: |
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or related technical field is required (advanced degree preferred.) Eight years of relevant experience required. Extensive analysis and M&S (both digital M&S and/or hardware-in-the-loop) experience is mandatory. Specific experience working with MDA, the Program Elements (THAAD, AEGIS, etc.), and the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) is highly desirable. Excellent communication (writing and speaking) skills and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Creative thinking and an independent approach to problem solving is a plus. Must be able to work low-level detailed issues while maintaining a high-level perspective. Some travel may be required. A current SECRET security clearance is mandatory. |
