As a you will:
- Review software specifications, architecture & design for functional, system & performance weaknesses and other potential vulnerabilities.
- Analyze risks & prioritize test objectives
- Explore the application and system's functionality and architecture
- Identify the interfaces between components
- Identify dependencies & fault conditions
- Develop test paradigms and suites/cases to test the functionality
- Conduct both functional & nonfunctional testing
- Report bugs and advocate for them in such a way that they get fixed
Required Skills:
- At least 8-10 years of experience as a developer or in a test engineering role with previous leadership responsibilities
- At least 5 years of C# or Java experience.
- You must have strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
- Fluency in coding, especially OO-based languages
- Extensive experience with databases, being able to understand, create and test databases, schemas, stored procedures & queries
- Good communication skills
- Experience with test design techniques geared to improve efficiency in testing.
- Understanding of key metrics used to report on testing efforts
- Expertise in coding, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
- Excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies and database technologies
- Above and Beyond - Internally driven to accomplish goals
Self Directed - Prescriptive directives are not needed to get things done or to solve a problem
