Job Description :

Westwood is looking for a Lead Faculty for Gaming.

The role of the Lead Faculty position is to work in conjunction with the Program Director (PD) and Assistant Program Director in managing the department in its delivery of curriculum and instruction to Westwood students and to promote student success, and shall be ready to assume all duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Program Director in his or her absence. The Lead Faculty position serves as the secondary contact for students, faculty and employees by maintaining a high level of visibility and actively soliciting input to promote a positive learning environment, serving and coach and mentor to faculty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching a set and regular schedule of courses
Preparing schedules and assigning instructors to courses
Establishing prerequisites for course flow and continuity
Resolving student and faculty issues
Participating in text book adoption, current program maintenance, selects, develops and prepares state of the art curriculum and implements changes in curriculum
Participating in Program Director calls, conducts regularly scheduled faculty meetings
Prepares appropriate documentation for program director retreats
Identifies and interviews prospective faculty
Conferring with teachers following classroom observations
Monitoring and revising proficiency tests


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Observes and evaluates faculty activity and progress
Regularly audits courses
Supervises and mentors faculty; participate in faculty training

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum five years higher education experience total (online and traditional combined)
Experience in faculty mentorship
Course development experience in the e-College system
Strong knowledge of technology
Experience in offering electronically delivered curriculum
Experience with e-College or other learning course management system.
