The Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters provides insights -- information, benchmarks and analysis -- that enable organizations to manage costs, improve performance and enhance the quality of healthcare.
The Clinical Decision Support solutions within the Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters, helps pharmacists, physicians and nurses improve patient care by enhancing workflow, reducing medication errors, and improving disease and condition management.
The Senior Product Manager for Micromedex clinical evidence solutions must have experience in the healthcare market, the ability to combine business acumen with a big-picture vision, and the ability to execute to make vision a reality. This is a market-facing role, requiring demonstrated ability to relate effectively to customers and communicate that customer perspective to all areas of the company. The ideal candidate must enjoy spending time in the market to understand customer/market problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assess market problems identified through input from customers, non-customers, sales, support, competitors and other sources
  • Collaborate with business analysts to develop detailed product requirements based on market problems
  • Document and prioritize product requirements based on market needs; incorporate product requirements into product roadmap and product release plan
  • Work with development, quality assurance, and editorial teams to define and execute on requirements for product releases and ongoing product maintenance
  • Provide day-to-day support for existing products, including answering detailed questions that require a strong understanding of relevant markets
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and customer user groups within the healthcare market
  • Collaborate with marketing team and sales to define go-to-market strategies, product positioning, pricing, and support for products and product launches
  • Ability to create business cases
  • Maintain competitive intelligence for assigned products
  • Keep current with and communicate to stakeholders relevant information on healthcare market and customer needs to support the success of our solutions in the market
  • Serve as the internal and external champion for product offerings
  • Support sales in meeting financial goals for assigned products


Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in product management (or comparable experience)
  • Current knowledge about the healthcare market
  • Bachelor's degree required; Clinical degree preferred (PharmD, RN)
  • Experience working with development teams
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology
