The MSICU Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:
- Psychosocial assessments and ongoing support during admission for all families
- Supportive counseling as families process and cope with medical diagnoses
- Developing and maintaining effective therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Bereavement counseling
- Crisis intervention
- Psychosocial consultation and support to the multidisciplinary health care team
To qualify, you must have:
- Master's degree in Social Work. LCSW required, LICSW preferred.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Experience in a medical environment or with chronic illness is preferred.
