Job Summary: |
Join the School of Dental Medicine (SDM) as the Director of Human Resources. This is a full-time university staff role. The Director is a key leadership role within SDM and will be responsible is responsible for developing a multi-year strategic plan related to personnel administration for faculty, university staff, classified staff, students, working retirees, and temporary employees. This position provides policy guidance and interpretation to the deans, department chairs, administrators, faculty, supervisors, and employees on a wide range of personnel issues, which includes talent acquisition and planning, employee relations and performance management, compensation and payroll, employee learning and development, and human resources information structures. Additional functions include providing advice and guidance to managers and employees, and performing functions including strategic planning and analysis, compliance with policies and laws, employment and compensation, job evaluation, performance and leave management, employee training/development, reward and recognition, employee relations, affirmative action, benefits, and employee records/information. This position is also responsible for advising leadership on payroll and budgeting issues. The individual in this position must remain current on policies and procedures for the above tasks and ensure compliance with all university, state and federal guidelines as well as compose strategies to meet those guidelines. The position represents the school on various campus and in-house committees. Key Responsibilities:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings, after first six months of employment. |

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting hiring range for this position has been established as $97,916 - $124,549 annually. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
