This job is responsible for leading, coordinating, and participating in financial analysis, accounting, forecasting, and reporting activities. Independently organizes and manages both special projects and a routine workload. Leads, trains, and reviews work product of assigned departmental staff, acting as a trainer and an informational resource, as well as a guide in their professional development. Serves also as a direct resource to operational management on financial analysis and regulations.

Job Duties:

Evaluating, standardizing, enhancing, and automating existing financial and statistical reporting packages. Advising on reporting gaps and then bringing innovative solutions to them. Performing ad hoc analysis for the region, partnering with external groups as needed. Assisting divisional financial teams with their Monthly Operating Reviews. Creating pro formas pertinent to the region. Functioning as a senior level analyst on a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team that supports a multi-division region. Facilitating corporate-led financial initiatives for the Region. Must travel to New Orleans worksites at least 1 to 2 times per month.

Education Required: Masters in Business Administration; or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Business Administration, or Computer Science or related area plus 24 months of experience.

Other Requirements:
* High-level proficiency in financial modeling using Excel required, as demonstrated by 12 months of experience using Excel for financial modeling or passing scores on MBA-level business courses covering the subject.

* Ability to work independently at times, collaborate, problem solve, and become a subject matter expert within the team required, demonstrated in a work or in an academic setting in university studies.

* Expertise in discerning financial trends, presenting findings, and making actionable recommendations to leadership, demonstrated through work experience or MBA-level business courses and projects.

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.

Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.

There is no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
