General Purpose
The Bank Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for generating residential mortgages and helping to develop Alpine Bank's brand.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Provides mortgage lending products and services to new and existing clients through matching the client's needs with appropriate loan products.
- Develops new business while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
- Identifies cross sales opportunities for additional bank products and services.
- Networks through professional, business and community organizations and activities to promote and market loan products.
- Structures loans to comply with acceptable lending practices and Federal regulations.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Ability to work independently.
- Skill in understanding customer needs and delivering unsurpassed customer service.
- Knowledge of identifying the market and competition.
- Skill in obtaining information and identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, procedures and guidelines associated with residential real estate mortgages.
- Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
- Proficient negotiation ability to include the ability to explore positions and alternatives to reach outcomes that gain acceptance of all parties.
Education or Formal Training:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent required.
- A Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Business, Finance or Real Estate is preferred.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Drivers' License, required.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid NMLS License, required.
Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) years' current experience in mortgage loan origination and a thorough knowledge of relevant mortgage guidelines is required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis.
Working Conditions
Working Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. Travel to conferences, meetings and branch locations on a regular basis is necessary.
Physical Activities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee also may have to lift up to 25 pounds.

Starting Rate of Pay is from $24.04 to $28.85 per hour, plus incentive.
