About Us
At HDR, we specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services. While we are most well-known for adding beauty and structure to communities through high-performance buildings and smart infrastructure, we provide much more than that. We create an unshakable foundation for progress because our multidisciplinary teams also include scientists, economists, builders, analysts and artists. That's why we believe diversity is our greatest strength. HDR is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
Watch Our Story:
We believe that the way we work can add meaning and value to the world. That ideas inspire positive change. That coloring outside the lines can illuminate fresh perspectives. And that small details yield important realizations. Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.
Role Description
HDR is currently looking for a passionate sustainability leader to join the Colorado Area's Sustainability and Resiliency Cross Sector. As a Sustainability and Resiliency Lead, you will play an instrumental role in building out our local Sustainability and Resiliency Cross Sector. This involves supporting sustainability project initiatives across each of our business groups (Architecture, Building Engineering Services, Federal, Resources, Transportation, and Water). You will collaborate with business group leads, client managers, and leadership to support the growth of our practice, developing relationships with new clients and expanding our relationships with key existing clients. Additionally, you will serve as a champion for internal sustainability initiatives, helping guide project teams across disciplines to develop sustainable practices and generating internal communication strategies to educate staff about these practices.
The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about driving institutional sustainability and resiliency goals and understands that the path towards achieving them is not always a linear process. This person must be able to breakdown sustainable concepts and educate project teams and clients who are unfamiliar with sustainability and resiliency to build consensus around shared goals. A self-starter with the ability to connect people and resources to identify unique perspectives and out-of-the-box solutions will make a profound impact on both our organization and our clients. The candidate will have the ability to utilize HDR's national resources as they work to develop the Colorado market for this business sector.
