As a Staff Accountant, you will have a focus on technical accounting, as well as involvement in accounting transactions spanning both revenue and general ledger, with opportunities to work cross-functionally with stakeholders throughout the business. Candidates for this position are self-motivated, hungry to learn, and not afraid of a challenge. You will report to the Accounting Supervisor.

You will:

  • Participate in the upfront deal review process to assess quotes for accuracy and accounting implications prior to execution by customer
  • Conduct research on accounting transactions and prepare written accounting memos for review by management and external auditors
  • Collaborate with the Product, Finance, Legal, and Sales teams on product readiness initiatives to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
  • Assist with special projects impacting the broader accounting organization
  • Stay up to date with emerging accounting pronouncements and industry trends, assessing their impact on the organization
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including processing multi-element customer contracts, preparing monthly journal entries, and account reconciliations

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience 0-2 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills, including project management to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner

You have an advantage if:

  • CPA certification or working towards licensure
  • Familiarity with Netsuite as an ERP
  • You foster collaboration and teamwork through a positive attitude

Hiring Range: $70,000 - $84,033

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
