Maxar is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This role will serve as a key member of the FP&A team in support of the corporate functions including Human Resources, Finance and Legal. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, FP&A this position will be responsible for delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor the annual budget and monthly expense forecast for the corporate functions.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly budget versus actual variance analysis and continuously drive forecast accuracy improvements.
  • Support monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting, including Monthly Business Reviews, Board of Director meetings, and other reviews as necessary.
  • Continuously develop systems and processes. Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, develop plans to reach goals and implement improvements.
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Prepare periodic and ad hoc financial models, forecasts, reports and analyses, as needed.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or similar field (accounting, business management, etc.), MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounting, finance, or FP&A experience
  • Extremely proficient with Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Strong accounting background, to include understanding of financial statement interaction and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • SAP S/4 HANA and/or Workday Adaptive experience
  • Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members
  • Able to work in a dynamic, complex environment as a self-starter who can quickly understand and develop processes

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$74,000.00 - $122,000.00 annually.


Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
