We have a position in Monmouth Junction, NJ for a Paralegal to join our small, but experienced, in-house Legal team. Reporting directly to the VP/General Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive paralegal support for our legal department, with a focus on state licensing, intellectual property management, Sunshine Act reporting, contract review, etc., in support of our business and legal operations.


Key Responsibilities:


* Licensing - Assists with state licensing and compliance requirements, including preparing and filing necessary documentation


* Intellectual Property (IP) - Manages company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademark and copyright filings and

renewals


* Sunshine Act Reporting - Prepares and submits Sunshine Act reports in a timely and accurate manner


* Contract Support - Reviews and analyzes contracts, agreements and other legal documents to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws; Supports contract management process, including drafting, negotiating and tracking contracts


* Litigation Support- Assists with managing disputes, including insurance coverage, litigation holds, subpoenas and discovery


* Collaboration- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and departments across company to ensure seamless workflow and communication


* Spend Management- Manages legal team expense process, vendor invoices and billing relationships and assists with legal team budgeting


* Organized and Process Oriented- Maintains detailed and organized records and files; Devises and implements legal processes to enable both legal and business functions to operate effectively; Develops and manages detailed project schedules and work plans and provides reporting and updates on projects, programs and progress, as needed

Requirements

Requirements:


* Accredited paralegal certification or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years corporate paralegal experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare or related industry


* Experience handling multiple aspects of paralegal support including, but not limited to: licensing, contracts, litigation, IP, etc.


* Resourceful self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and excellent at building strong relationships


* Adaptable mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to pivot as needed to support business and legal teams


* Strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail with a focus on process improvement


* Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
