Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an experienced electrical engineer. Responsibilities include designing low and medium voltage power systems, lighting systems and associated controls, fire alarm and mass notification systems; preparing construction plans and specifications of electrical systems; developing probable construction costs; providing construction administration and site visits; mentoring less experienced staff. Some travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have all of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical or architectural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • At least five years of relevant electrical experience
  • PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Designing low and medium voltage power, lighting systems and controls, fire alarm and detection systems
  • Preparing construction document drawings using Revit
  • Designing electrical systems using power design (EasyPower preferred)
  • Using lighting calculations software (AGI32 preferred)
  • Coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications
  • Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems
  • Mentoring less experienced engineers and designers

Salary Range: $95,000 to $130,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
