The Arvada, CO location is nestled near the foothills of the front range, just west of Denver. The office is a 10-minute drive from downtown Golden and Arvada and is an easy commute from most of the Denver Metro area. Colorado offers year-round outdoor activities and is a melting pot of cultures.

Our team in Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for a Satellite Integration and Test Engineer to join our Space Vehicles team in Arvada, CO. You will report to the Engineering Assembly, Integration & Test Manager and will have a 9/80 hybrid work schedule.

To be considered for the Satellite Integration and Test Engineer role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • B.S. (4 year) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Integration and Test of satellite avionics hardware and/or flight software or similar related experience.
  • Experience reviewing requirements and writing detailed test procedures and associated test scripts.
  • Experience with test planning and execution.
  • Experience with testing software on target hardware.
  • Experience with testing avionics boxes and components.
  • Experience with ground/lab electrical support equipment and test equipment.
  • Experience with satellite or other space vehicle command and telemetry systems.
  • Self-Starter, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and can communicate effectively.

To be great if you also had:

  • Familiar with Spacecraft Flight Software development and design.
  • Experience verifying Flight Software.
  • Experience handling Flight Hardware in a lab environment.
  • Experience with Spacecraft Flight Hardware and Software integration.
  • Experience writing automated tests.
  • Experience with one of the following ground software (command and telemetry) programs: COSMOS, InControl, MAXGDS or similar Command and Telemetry Software Systems.
  • Experience with MAX Flight Software.
  • Experience with program and design review process (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
  • Experience using VxWorks, or other RTOS.
  • Experience in C/C++, Python3, XML and scripting language (Linux Shells).
  • Experience with the Agile process.
  • Experience interacting with customer and managing customer needs.
  • Experience interacting with subcontractors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.

As a Satellite Integration and Test Engineer, you will:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of all avionics hardware and software that comprise a space vehicle's avionics/electrical system.
  • Write test procedures and test plans.
  • Create scripts for test procedures and automated test.
  • Execute Test Procedures and Scripts to verify that an assembled space vehicle will meet customer needs.
  • Review requirements and design documents.
  • Interface with System Engineers and Software Developers.
  • Install and configure Flight Hardware and Software.

Salary Range:

  • The base pay range for this opportunity is $80,080 - $98,821 per year.

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
