AMA is seeking a full-time Network Engineer to join our team. This is remote position.

Job Description:

AMA is currently seeking a Network Engineer with expertise in network security, Palo Alto firewalls, and cloud network configurations. The Network Engineer role acts as a leading technical authority for the organization's network communication systems, encompassing multiple office locations, data center, and cloud environments. The role also involves a strong focus on network security to protect against evolving cyber threats.This is a remote position with 5% travel for occasional equipment maintenance and replacement.The salary for this position is $75,000-$95,000 and is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic locations.

Responsibilities:

* Manage, maintain, and monitor network devices across all office locations and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) ensuring optimal performance and robust security.

* Provide ongoing Level 3 operational support to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of complex network and security issues.

* Lead in the design, installation, configuration, and administration of network communication tools, applications, and security measures.

* Ensure optimal network performance and security through consistent monitoring, management, and regular security assessments.

* Direct network services and the systems responsible for network communication addresses, incorporating advanced security protocols.

* Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the network structure aligns with the organization's objectives and security standards.

* Formulate and disseminate guidelines, protocols, and standards for network infrastructure utilization, with a focus on security.

* Safeguard vital business operations against interruptions and cyber threats by implementing robust network security measures.

* Regularly review and update firewall policies and configurations to meet evolving security requirements and business needs.

* Coordinate with other IT and security teams to address vulnerabilities, threats, and incidents, and implement proactive security solutions.

* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network infrastructure, security procedures, configurations, and change management.

* Assist in network expansion or reconfiguration projects, ensuring security best practices are adhered to.

* Keep abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and mitigation techniques, and apply this knowledge to strengthen network defenses.

Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years of experience in a network security or engineer role, with significant expertise inPalo Alto firewall configurations and management.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Years of experience may be substituted for degree.

* Proven experience with SD-WAN solutions, design, implementations, and security integrations.

* Deep knowledge of security best practices, threat landscape, and mitigation techniques.

* Familiarity with network protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, network architecture, and advanced security frameworks.

* Cloud networking experience including Azure/AWS VPN, cloud network concepts, and cloud security is a plus.

* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, especially in network security contexts.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to a varied audience.
