We are currently looking to hire a Senior Manager, Co-Manufacturing Manager who will create and manage relationships, agreements and projects with Co-Manufacturing (Co-Man) suppliers to deliver manufacturing capacity and capabilities at competitive costs, with excellent quality and performance. The role will lead an Inventory Control Team and is tasked with setting a clear direction, strategy and expectations for the group. The role participates in various commercial and quality system assessments of key Contract Manufacturers, with a particular focus on identification and quantification of opportunities for joint improvement activities.

The role can be hybrid or remote with a preference to be based in Broomfield, CO.

About the Job:

Category strategy development, validation & activation

    • Develop in depth market Co-manufacturing knowledge for existing and innovation platforms
    • Develop, lead and activate Co-Man sourcing strategies to meet regional capacity requirements and Company established quality and performance criteria at competitive costs.
    • Engage with and assist in onboarding new Co-Packers

Co-Man relationship & performance management

    • Identify, build, and develop relationships with Co-manufacturers
    • Preparation of performance objectives and annual business reviews

Support Innovation and productivity projects

    • Identify key innovation needs with Marketing and R&I, particularly in early stages of developments (Inno Days, Select & Define phases)
    • Leverage Co-Man network and assess innovation capabilities
    • Identifying improvement projects and managing cross-functional implementation to improve performance of key components and suppliers

Category reporting, compliance and system integration

    • Prepare or contribute to Budget, price lists, and Purchase Price Variance Analysis
    • Monitor Financial performance: productivity & cash
    • Ensure Co-Man Quality compliance: Manufacturing site audit
    • Ensure Co-Man performance compliance and generate action plans for any deficiencies
    • Support contract compliance & GTCPs

Secure sourcing of materials

    • Together with Procurement Team:
    • Support and ensure that capacity requirements are met
    • Support Business Contingency plans for critical platforms or products
    • Improve forecast accuracy with demand planning and suppliers
    • Service Level Agreement with suppliers: Production to Plan measure experience.

The base compensation range for this position is $96,000 - $143,000 commensurate with experience.


About You:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business/Food Science/Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum eight years' experience required, preferably in CPG beverage procurement and food supply chain
  • Experience in commercialization/ launches of new products
  • Experience in leading, managing and developing direct reports
  • Strong contract negotiation skills
  • Solution oriented; always focused on solving problems
  • Strong financial acumen and business understanding
  • Excellent stakeholder influencing skills and cross functional leadership
  • Project management fundamentals to easily facilitate cross functional projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with plant leadership teams, corporate continuous improvement team and other functions as necessary
  • Travel - Up to 50% (primarily North America)
