Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Milling Laborer to work at our Castle Rock, CO location. The Milling Laborer is responsible for assisting the milling operations by performing various manual tasks.

Pay: $20-24

Shift/Schedule: 7am-5pm Nights and Weekends

Responsibilities

The Milling Laborer will:

• Perform various labor tasks around the milling operations
• Follow Mill Operators instructions as directed
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance such as: greasing, checking fluid levels, washing equipment
• Guide trucks during loading
• Be able to shovel material as needed
• Identify and communicate potential hazards with Mill Operator
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to learn the general standards of rotomilling operations and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, and/or pry
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time and work in an environment with noise and temperature variations
• Work outside for an extended period of time and ability to work at elevated heights
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
