Position Description

This position provides daily engineering support to project management and operations through the engineering and production cycle. Each pump and compressor is configured to meet order specific technical specifications and customer requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review of customer order and technical specifications.
  • Selection of major supporting equipment (motors, heat exchangers, instruments, gages, etc.).
  • Creation of support system bills of material
  • Providing support to design/drafting resources to complete integration of supporting equipment.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings and documentation, P&ID, ISA Datasheets, IOM, Cause and Effect Matrices.
  • Disposition non-conforming parts.
  • Provide engineering direction, troubleshooting assembly and testing activities for our Compressor support systems.
  • Recognize opportunities for improvement and act to drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement
  • Stay abreast of new technology
  • Assist Applications Engineering and Sales in winning new Business.
  • Manufacturing support, machine design, understanding of GD&T
  • Provide consultation to Field Service for start-up/commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Develop design guidelines for compressor support systems.

Skills & Abilities Required Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, MS a plus.
  • 8+ years experience in engineering in manufacturing, EPC's, or oil and gas industry.
  • Understanding of compressor engineering fundamentals; aerodynamics, gas seals, controls, testing, troubleshooting, material science, and auxiliary support systems. *
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards; API-614, 617, 610, ASME Pressure Vessel Code, ASTM.
  • Excellent engineering judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Travel to domestic or international customer and supplier sites required on a limited basis. Includes kickoff meetings, design review meetings, HAZOP meetings. Structural Design Experience

Compensation Details

Annual Salary: $92,000.00 - $115,000.00
