Job Description:

The Proposals Manager will have demonstrated organizational skills and will be responsible for supporting client-facing teams in proposal preparation, execution, and delivery. The Proposals Manager is responsible for overseeing the proposals process, tracking proposal development and maintaining proposal materials.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee various proposal initiatives including coordinating with technical staff.
  • Oversees daily workflow and output of proposal development, including management of proposal teams and deliverables.
  • Prepares various standard materials including proposal templates, project-specific rate sheets, resumes, budget templates, statement of qualifications, and presentations for award interviews ensuring the content is comprehensive, relevant, and consistently represents the WEST brand.
  • Tracks various requests for proposals on automated websites and identify relevant opportunities for leadership review.
  • Responsible for proposal formatting, assembly, packaging, and delivery. Works with the Document Assistance Group for document formatting and review to maintain quality of written proposals and support materials.
  • Responsible for tracking proposal outcomes (i.e., wins, losses, etc.) and identifying areas of improvement and recommendations to leadership.
  • Applies sophisticated writing skills to proposals and supporting materials to ensure they are well written in clear proposal style language and market WEST's capabilities.
  • Foster current business relationships and promote new business development efforts.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of job-related relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated superior organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish professional relationships with clients, both internal and external.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, sometimes with short notice even when required to work beyond normal business hours.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic.
  • Ability to interact professionally with leadership and clients.

After an offer of employment is made, the candidate must successfully pass a pre- employment background check, drug screening, and DMV records check that meets WEST's minimum criteria to operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the company. A valid driver's license will be required.
