Are you looking to take your specialist expertise and technical knowledge to the next level? This is the challenge you have been looking for; we are currently seeking a sales professional who can sell our products and services to customers in an assigned territory, industry, or account. The primary focus of this role will be on outbound field sales activities.

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for increasing Agilent's market share in the assigned geography for Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, along with related consumables and service products. You will be the face of Agilent as you work to build customer relationships during the sales process. This is a critical sales role that requires expertise and technical knowledge of the Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis industries in the territory.

The successful candidate will be required to qualify for opportunities, propose effective solutions, and support the long-term goals of our customers. You will also need to create and execute a territory development plan that will result in sales growth outpacing our competitors working in the same geography.

This is a remote position with the ideal candidate being based in Colorado. Overnight travel of 50% is required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing customer relationships and maintaining their satisfaction.

  • Provides prompt response to all customer requests.

  • Proactively prospects for new customers and new opportunities.

  • Achieves all sales targets around quota and sales forecasts.

  • Works collaboratively with our PS (Product specialist), CSD (Consumables) and SSD (Service) teams.

  • Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.

  • Must be able to proactively drive the sales cycle and forecast sales accurately in a 30-60-90 day sales window.

  • Provides rigor around CRM updates, expense reporting and other required business reporting.

Qualifications
  • BA or BS from an accredited University

  • 4+ years relevant experience in sales, management or equivalent experience in a business environment

  • Understanding of HPLC, LC-MS, GC, and GC-MS

  • Must be able to overnight travel up to 50% of the time

  • Ability to interface at all levels within an organization for both internal/external customers

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Highly motivated, with excellent self-management, organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team selling environment to achieve territory sales goals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong business development and sales closing skills

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach, team spirit and eagerness to build your sales knowledge for your success
