Develops and coordinates assessment, planning, and implementation of therapeutic recreational and leisure activities for patients.Job Details

Shift Details: PRN - as needed
Job Essentials
Initial evaluation done within 72 hours of patient admission under the direction of the Recreational Therapist.
Provides feedback to the team regarding issues specific to leisure, re-education, including community entry.
Utilizes team members and community resources to coordinate the recreation approach that will best serve the patient.
Therapeutic recreation activities planned and communicated to the patient and other care providers as needed.
Documents activities completed and the patient's response to those activities.
Coordinates short and long term goals of the patient/family to have a successful discharge.
Discharge evaluation documented and communicated with patient/family.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Therapeutic Recreation Technician Certification in the State of Utah.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Recreational Therapy field.
