About this role

The Director, Compensation will be a key member in the Total Rewards team. You will apply your knowledge and experience of managing our global compensation function by planning, developing, and implementing new and existing compensation programs. You will help design and administer our global compensation programs to ensure that our compensation programs remain competitive and compliant with local laws. You will partner with our Sr. Director, Total Rewards and other key stakeholders such as leaders, managers, People Partners, Finance, etc to provide insights and recommendations for our remuneration programs. You will also help design and deliver Compensation related education programs to a variety of learners.

What you'll be doing
  • Develop and refine compensation strategies and policies to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis of compensation practices to ensure competitiveness in the market. Stay informed about industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices related to compensation.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, incentives, and benefits. Ensure programs are cost-effective, compliant, and support organizational objectives.
  • Manage job evaluation processes to ensure accurate job classifications and maintain a fair and transparent salary structure. Conduct periodic reviews to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to integrate compensation programs with performance management processes. Ensure alignment between performance metrics and compensation incentives to drive high performance and achievement of business goals.
  • Oversee executive compensation programs, including equity awards, deferred compensation, and executive benefits. Ensure alignment with shareholder interests, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance principles.
  • Develop communication materials and tools to educate employees and managers about compensation programs, policies, and practices. Provide training and support to HR partners and managers on compensation-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation practices, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Pay Act, and other relevant legislation. Mitigate risks associated with compensation practices through effective policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers involved in compensation-related activities, such as salary surveys, market analysis, and compensation software.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze compensation data, identify trends, and generate insights for decision-making. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders
What you'll have
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • PHR, SPHR, or CCP certification is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience with managing international tech company compensation programs
  • Must have strong experience in equity compensation
  • Proven ability to work well with cross-functional teams to improve workstreams
  • Must have strong Compensation modeling and analytics skills with Excel skills including advanced features such as, pivot tables, look-ups, macros, etc...
  • You have extensive experience managing focal merit and bonus programs
  • Experience with FLSA analysis and other compensation legislated requirements is required
  • Experience with implementing compensation modules within Workday is highly desired
  • Experience with Sales Compensation is a plus

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits, equity and a bonus.
