Overview

Colorado Engineering DBA as CAES. The CAES Advanced Program Development (APD) line of business is seeking highly motivated Electrical Design Engineer for new product development and product improvement projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This includes design, analysis, and all aspects of project engineering work. Electrical Design Engineers must be able to accept guidance from Senior Engineers. CAES offers weekly onsite training in addition to educational assistance.


Responsibilities

Core Competencies:
  • Positive, self-motivated, and ability to work within a team of engineers.
  • Willingness to learn all phases of product development from inception through production (architecture, design, programming, debug, test, and documentation).
  • Knowledge of at least one - and a desire to learn several - of the following areas: hardware, software, FPGA design, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and other areas of electrical engineering.


Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Engineering in high-tech R&D and/or manufacturing companies.
  • Work experience in electronic product design and development.
  • Experience in electronic product design (PCB, layout, software, firmware (VHDL).
  • Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes/meters/logic analyzer).
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license). A US person is defined as a lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee.

Preferred:

  • Willingness to take a design from concept to production.
  • Knowledge of high-speed digital and or analog design.
  • Use of Altium tool set.
  • Systems Engineering and/or RF experience is a plus.
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Salary Range: $72,500 - $95,000 annually. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
