The Payor Partnerships team manages a $7B commercial revenue portfolio and a high-growth national integrated care business that encompasses more than 70K lives and over $5B of medical spend. We are a highly motivated, fast-paced team with extensive experience in negotiations, managed care, finance, and consulting, and are at the center of DaVita's strategy to evolve from fee for service reimbursement to value based care. The Manager of Strategy and Business Development is a key member of our team, and will support our national and regional payor efforts to grow value-based care. The primary responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Support the development and execution geographic and payor-specific strategies to increase the adoption of value-based care
  • Identifying and understand payor priorities and leverage our integrated care offerings to structure partnership opportunities
  • Assist in the management of the business development cycle in coordination with our negotiating team to expand adoption of value-based care
  • Collaborate with our field operators on geography-specific payor goals
  • Design materials and support the development of presentations with payors to communicate DaVita's integrated care capabilities and potential partnership opportunities
  • Collaborate with our integrated care operations team to implement value based programs
  • Support the building and maintaining of relationships with payors to help ensure the long-term success and sustainability of our value-based programs
  • Develop meaningful relationships with potential and existing partners and DaVita teammates

This role provides opportunity for rapid career growth and extensive interaction with executives on the Payor Partnerships, Strategy, Operations, Business Development, and Finance teams, and meaningful exposure to the most senior levels of the DaVita Village.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years minimum of work experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Preference for experience in healthcare strategy or business development, or in another relevant analytical environment (e.g. consulting, investment banking)
  • Innovative and flexible thinker with high EQ, outstanding conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills with the ability to own and drive multiple projects while working across multiple teams; ability to meet deadlines and adjust priorities appropriately
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively, both orally and in writing
  • Person that thrives in an ambiguous, dynamic, high energy and fast paced environment
  • Passion for building trusted-advisor relationships with partners to create tangible results
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Healthcare experience a plus, particularly with payors

Salary/ Wage Range

$82,800.00-$121,600.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
