Job Title: HVAC Technician
Work Location: Lockheed Martin Space 6304 Spine Road Boulder, CO 80301
Work / Shift Schedule: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday) 7:00am - 4:00pm
Compensation Range: $26 - $35 per hour based on experience
Other Compensation: This position is not bonus eligible and it is not commission eligible

Job Summary:
Installs, services, modifies, rebuilds, and repairs air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment in an industrial or commercial establishment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations. Tasks range from periodic inspection to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunctions to conducting maintenance programs to prevent failure of such equipment as centrifugal compressors, electrical controls, evaporative condensers, pumps, fans, and heating equipment. Charges air-conditioning systems with refrigerant; checks and tests for leaks; sets and adjusts controls and regulators; fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork; overhauls equipment. May service, modify, and maintain centralized BAS computer systems and make program corrections. May be required to install and maintain high-technology clean room environments. Independently performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments. Researches assignments, processes, and analyzes data and may develop recommendations. Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data. General supervision with instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions for new lines of work or special assignments. May provide leadership, direction to lower level employees. In technical or production positions, may determine methods, operations, sequences; develops and/or modifies products and equipment to requirements.

Education: HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred.

Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Frequently is required to climb or balance. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is considered normal. Required to drive a company vehicle daily.
