Some of the ways that we accomplish these goals, working together with our partners in a variety of programs and services, is through our research-based school design and curriculum, achievement management solutions, intensive professional development, and extended learning programs.

We estimate that, in the 2006-2007 school year, Edison Schools will serve more than 285,000 students in 19 states, the District of Columbia, and the United Kingdom. This includes:

  • approximately 58,000 students at 97 sites managed by Edison District Partnerships, Edison Charter Schools and Edison Alliance;
  • approximately 67,000 students participating in after-school, summer school, and SES programs offered by Newton Learning;
  • approximately 139,000 students benefiting from achievement management solutions provided by Edison’s Tungsten Learning; and
  • approximately 23,000 students served by Edison Schools UK programs.
