Do you have a passion for working on emerging technologies?

As a Radio Frequency Engineer with Space you would develop RF payload solutions and the RF / electronic components for Space and Missile platforms. Work with RF from the MHz range all the way up through Optical systems. Communication payloads or RF payloads are needed for every platform and serve missions ranging from human space flight, commercial broadband services, national intelligence, protected communications, navigation and more. Our product portfolio includes a wide range of international and domestic programs, addressing the important needs of our commercial, civil and military customers.

You will be responsible for design and development of high reliability RF and microwave hardware for Space Flight communications payloads. You will perform requirements analysis and decomposition, develop specifications, perform architectural and product trade analyses, execute detailed implementation, validate performance, certify deliverable product. Support proposal and new business opportunities.

The RF Engineer position emphasizes systems engineering and design of payloads, subsystems, antennas and microwave circuits using discrete and MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) devices and RF and analog circuitry for RF products. Demonstrated proficiency in the design and fabrication of RF hybrid designs up through the millimeter wave bands. Proficient in microstrip and coplanar waveguide design, characterization and modeling of circuits using s parameters, circuit layout and test using bench-top microwave equipment including spectrum and network analyzers. Working proficiency with simulation and modeling tools similar to Microwave Office, ADS (Advanced Design System), and/or HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator). Knowledge and experience with spacecraft payloads, communications systems and components is desired.

Basic Qualifications
Radio Frequency hardware design and delivery experience. Proficiency with RF circuit analysis tools such as Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, AWR Microwave Office, CST, GRASP (General Responsibility Assignment Software Patterns) or similar tool packages.

Desired skills
Spacecraft electronics design and production experience. Experience with antenna design, transmitter, receiver, Electronically Steerable Array (ESA), phased array antenna, radar.
