    Overview

    This position is responsible for providing support to the Brewers Communications Department on various special projects and events. This is a paid internship.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assist with Treat Truck by coordinating, scheduling, and researching events and appearances
    • Keep track of Treat Truck ice cream inventory and ordering
    • Keep track of Baseball Bingo and Sausage Race winners in the Ballpark App and work with Partnerships Department to send prizes
    • Monitor other Club Ballpark apps for ideas on how to enhance the Brewers Ballpark App
    • Monitor Ballpark App reporting to see trends and areas for improvement
    • Assist with coordination of Brewers Mini-Marathon by researching and recruiting volunteer groups, adding race to online running calendars, contacting local gyms to send race materials, tracking registrations, fundraising, volunteers, etc., and other duties as needed
    • Assist with planning and execution of Brewers Baseball Academy camp days at stadium and other duties as needed
    • Assist with various special events, such as the Wall of Honor/Walk of Fame, Vote Brewers campaign, and other events as needed
    • May be needed to support special events department at Field of Sweet Dreams, 5Ks, etc.
    • Oversee Fan Pack distribution by collecting names and mailing information and sending out fan packs on a weekly basis
    • Support Media Relations team as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

    Education and/or Experience

    Candidates must be currently enrolled at, or recently graduated from, an accredited college or university pursuing a degree or course work related to the functions of the position. Examples include: Communication, Public Relations, Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, Sport Management, etc.

    Computer Skills

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Work Hours

    Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays. Maximum of 30 hours per week.
