Job/Internship Description

About the Role

Mountain West Bank's Loan Servicing Department is granting an unpaid internship exclusively to students of Project Search. The internship will last for a six week period begining April 1st, 2019. This position will be responsible for providing clerical support, quality control, scanning and filing of loan documents for the Loan Servicing Department. The Loan Servicing Intern positon will provide an opportunity for a student to work closely with our Loan Servicing Team. This position provides support to the Loan Servicing department and is a learning opportunity for an individual that is currently pursueing a career in an administrative postion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for quality control of loan documentation as directed.
  • Scan and file loan documentation.
  • Effectively use office equiptment such as copiers, scanners, phones, FAX machines, etc. to perform necessary tasks.
  • May assist with other duties as needed by Loan Servicing staff.
  • Provide prompt, knowledgeable and friendly customer service to internal and external customers

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a current participant/student of the Project Search program.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and email programs.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Experience in an office environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is occassionaly required to stand and walk . Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force occassionally, and/or a negligible amount of force to move objects. The worker sits most of the time doing office related functions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
